Beef, broccoli and oyster sauce

Preparation
Cook rice (if cooking rice from scratch), marinade the beef strips 10 mins to one day in advance of cooking.

For the marinaded beef:
- 250g beef rump steak (finely sliced)
- ½ tsp cornflour
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- Pinch of salt and white pepper
Vegetables:
- ½ head of broccoli – cut up into small florets
- 500ml of tap water
- 1 small onion finely sliced
Sauce:
- ½ tsp of chopped ginger (can use frozen)
- ½ tsp of chopped garlic (can use frozen)
- ½ chicken stock cube
- 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
- Salt and pepper
- Sesame oil
- 2 tbsp of cornflour and cold water (enough to make a paste)
Rice (or you can buy ready to heat packets):
- 200g Basmati Rice
- Cold tap water
- Knives

- Wok/large frying pan
- Pot for rice if making from scratch
